A student-centric practice.
Here’s a very simple idea that we believe in: focus on the student. This simple but core idea drives our philosophy, our teaching approaches and our business practices.
Discussion topics in our weekly academic team meeting - ‘Is Student A learning?’, ‘How can we help him/ her understand this specific concept better?’, ‘I think we need to talk to Student A’s parent about this problem’, ‘Can you do up an extra worksheet for this topic - I think many students in my class struggle with this topic’.
With our background in teaching, we are always tweaking and improving our approaches towards teaching better and allowing our students to learn better. While these approaches may change, the pedagogical frameworks and background don’t.

Armed with a deep understanding of the curriculum, the psychology behind how students learn & incorporating the best practices to impart Math concepts & techniques
Mrs Eileen and Mr Wong were both former school teachers who left the public service to setup their own education practice.
The in-depth understanding of the curriculum, how different students learn and behave as well as common issues with learning - helps them develop our own in-house programme and curriculum designed to help students learn Mathematics effectively and efficiently.
It takes a village.
Tutors, parents, teaching assistants, a curriculum and publications department & the admin team. It’s an all-hands-on-deck situation at Genius Plus Academy. Our tutors personally communicate with parents to keep them in the loop and also advise them on how they can better support their child in their learning.
Parents are always kept abreast of their child’s development at GPA. A WhatsApp group is created at point of registration with the parent, tutor & core team - this allows our parents to raise any questions and for our tutors to provide updates.
A parent-tutor conference is also organised at the end of each semester.

Genius Plus Academy is a social enterprise registered with raiSE SG.
We serve children from less financially privileged families through both our subsidised tuition programmes, volunteer tutor mentoring & also our ad-hoc social initiatives.
Students on MOE Financial Assistance scheme can apply for a 75% bursary to cover their tuition fees with us. We also waive off fees completely for exceptional cases.
During festive occasions, Genius Plus Academy also collaborates with Economics at Tuitiongenius on social initiatives such as our Christmas Gift-A-Wish project where we collaborate with Community Centres (CCs) to provide toys, school bags & stationery for children.
