(a) Ans: 360
75% of pens sold -> 270
25% of pens sold -> 270 ÷ 3 = 90
100% of pens sold -> 90 x 4 = 360
(b) Ans: 468
40% of total pens -> 360
20% of total pens -> 360 ÷ 2 = 180
60% of total pens -> 180 x 3 = 540 [not sold]
Red pens unsold = 70/100 x 540 = 378
Red pens sold -> 270 ÷ 3 = 90
Total red -> 90 + 378 = 468
