PSLE Math 2023 Paper 2 Question 11

a) No. of rods = 3 x 5 = 15
 No. of straws = 4 x 4 = 16

b) 52 straws wide → 53 columns of 4 rods
4 rods long → 5 rows of 52 straws
Total no. of rods & straws used → (53 x 4) + (5 x 52)
= 212 + 260
= 472
