PSLE Math 2023 Paper 2 Question 8

Notebook page with handwritten math notes and calculations, including angles, geometric rules, and diagrams. Key terms highlighted in purple.

a) ∠w = 180° - 80° = 100° (‘C’ rule) (sum of int ∠s in a triangle = 180°,
CF // GE because CFG is a parallelogram)

b) ∠FCE = 100°
    ∠BCD = 100°
    ∠HCB = 180° - 90° - 23° (sum of ∠s in a triangle = 180°)
     = 67°
    ∠y = 360° - 100° - 100° - 23° - 67° (sum of ∠s at a pt)
           = 70°

c) ∠CHF = 180° - 70° - 25°
                  = 85°
    ∠BHC + ∠CHF = 90° + 85°
                    = 175°
BHF (is/ is not) a straight line because ∠BHC+ ∠CHF (is/ is not) 180°.
